RE: The ignorant digg comments under "Drug-Free America [pic]"

Note: all of the referenced stuff is from the comments on Drug-Free America [pic].The nature of debate between medicating children, adults, ADHD, and scientology is one I find myself wholly in the center. I am passionately neutral, which is highly uncommon. That's because pop-culture America is composed simple-minded propaganda determined to polarize complicated issues into black-and-white

iPhone 3rd Party Apps: Between war-torn philosophies

I am one of the few, the rare, that isn't sure about whether or not to have 3rd party apps on the iPhone. If you asked me a week ago, I would've of instantly replied, "Heck yes! Apple needs to get it together!"In late August, I started to "hack" my iPhone. I put hack in quotations because really I was just benefiting from everyone else's hard hacking efforts. In any case, my iPhone was hacked.

Chuck

I received an early copy of NBC's comedy-action blend, Chuck, a few weeks ago. I loved it. It combines Quentin Tarantino-like surrealistic action with awkward comedy ala The Office. It's fantastic. What's funny is that any time the action part of the show goes way over-the-top cheesy, it can just claim "it's spoofing action movies!" instead of it revealing poor writing. Although I think that's

Journeyman: Pilot

I really recommend this show. Only the last 10 minutes of the pilot are good but it's worth the wait. If the next episode is good, then I'll write a thorough review on the premise and why I like it.

My LOST Marathon: Seeing the links

I just finished a LOST marathon in which I started with the Pilot, Pt. 1 on 9/11 and finished Through The Looking Glass last night (9/18). That's 2.1 days of LOST over the course of exactly one week. Watching the entire series in order puts a lot of things in perspective. It adds context to the character arcs that you might have otherwise not noticed.Jack's first flashback is titled White Rabbit

iTunes 7.4.2... the saga continues

Oh, the saga of hacked iPhone ringtones. Here is my response to this article. An excerpt:Today, Apple released iTunes 7.4.2. Apple kindly fixed that small problem where people inadvertently installed custom ringtones on their systems. Thank you, Apple.Apple is obviously being pressured by the RIAA to do *something* about hacked ringtones. Have you noticed that up until now they've done nothing

Across The Universe

All I can say is, "Wow." 'Across The Universe' was amazing. I can't get over how fucked up that movie was. Like many visually stimulating films it lacks in story but maybe that's sort of the point. Instead of saying something through a complicated plot it's said through the most fucked up visuals since Hedwig And The Angry Inch.I know so many people that would loathe this film. But I loved it.

Cartel's "Chroma"

Cartel’s brilliant “Chroma” is my “American Idiot” of 2005. That’s saying a lot considering that ever since I first heard “Idiot” in September of 2004 I instantly considered it one of the best albums of all-time. There are some interesting correlation's also. They’re both concept albums that make each song wonderfully flow into the next. But one big difference is that the story of “Chroma” ends
